If you have been enrolled in health insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, employee assistance program and/or health care flexible spending account) as a colleague of Zoetis, your active coverage will end on your termination date. Under the Health Benefits and the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), colleagues and their covered dependents have an independent right to continue health care coverage in the plan or plans in which they were enrolled just prior to termination.

A COBRA Specific Rights and Employee Election (“Notification”) will be mailed by our COBRA administrator to your home address on file with Zoetis within 14 days following their receipt of your termination date from Zoetis.

  • Timing: Seven (7) business days after termination date, you can log into the benefits portal to enroll in COBRA benefits at the following link: https://digital.alight.com/zoetis.
  • Log in: When logging in, please select “New User” to create your log-in credentials. Creating a new user and password are required since you are not logging in via the HR for Me benefits portal.
  • Email: The email address on file is your Zoetis email address. In order to change your email you must contact Alight Solutions at 1-833-885-5658.

You have 60 days from the later of your termination date or Notification to enroll and 45 days from enrollment to pay your first month’s premium. COBRA coverage WILL NOT BE EFFECTIVE until coverage has been elected and your paid portion of the premium has been received by our COBRA administrator. At that point, COBRA coverage will be effective retroactive to your active coverage termination date. Further details of compliance timeframes and costs will be in the Notification.

Retiree Health Access

If you leave Zoetis with active medical coverage at or after age 55 with 5 or more years of continuous service, you may want to consider enrolling in the Retiree Health Access® Program (RHA® Program). You will be able to choose from retiree-paid pre- and post-age-65 Aetna medical options either at termination or once COBRA benefits are exhausted (typically after 18 months).  You pay the full cost of coverage. The RHA® Program provides options to consider – you may also want to consider plans offered on the Affordable Care Act exchange market.

  • Questions about plans, billing, eligibility and enrollment can be directed to the RHA® Retiree Service Center at 1-800-426-4584 (TTY/TDD: 711). Their Customer Service Representative will review plan options and benefits and provide you access to their site for retiree plan modeling and information.

Pfizer Retiree Medical Benefits is an additional option for those colleagues who are already eligible for retiree medical coverage from Pfizer, or who will become eligible during the grow-in period (through December 31, 2017). Please contact Pfizer’s hrSource Center at 1-866-4 SOURCE (1-866-476-8723) if you think you may be eligible for their benefits and for more information.

If a Medicare Part B form needs to be completed, please complete Section 1 and email the form to Zoetis Colleague Services at zoetiscolleagueservices@zoetis.com for Section 2 to be completed.
